Happy City Haeundae
Postal services are handled at post offices and postal agencies. The post office can handle a range of services, from mailing postal matter and delivery (parcel delivery) to banking and even insurance.

Domestic postal service

Nationwide postal code books are available at neighborhood post offices. Regular mail and parcels can be sent from the post office, after the numeric postal code for the recipient's address is included. A receipt is provided when you register for certified mail at the counter. Registered mail is more costly, but the path of postal matter can be tracked, since the process of delivery and receipt of postal matter are recorded. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Certain post offices are open until 8 p.m., and some are open on Saturdays. For more detailed information (e.g., rates and fees, rate reductions, information on postal codes, compensation for damage), call the Post Office call center at 1588-1300.

International postal service

Service for mailing postal matter to foreign countries may be requested at the post office counter. Express Mail Service (EMS) allows urgent letters, documents, parcels, and similar materials to be conveniently and securely delivered to foreign countries. EMS postal matter is handled in accordance with a special agreement signed between Korea Post, under Korean Communications Commission, and reliable postal authorities in foreign countries. This service can be used by accurately recording the following information on the postal matter: names and addresses of sender and recipient, phone numbers, contents, weight, value, and so on. Since the rates vary significantly depending on the weight and type of postal matter, e.g., letters, post cards, airmail, printed matter, and packages, so please request more information from the Website or at the post office service counter. For tracking and tracing shipment of international express postal materials (EMS, air parcels, registered mail) call the post office's International Customer Center.
